Do not just send them a random email stating that they need to start e-learning. Make them know why it is crucial not only for the company but to them. Give them reasons to get excited about the e-learning by citing examples of people or businesses that have succeeded because they took up e-learning.
Tie It to Appraisal Goals
Employees always set their goals at the beginning of the year. Tie up e-learning to their goals and respectfully let them know that it is being aggregated. Have it as some of the things they need to have achieved when their appraisal is done. This is not supposed to be done in a way that intimidates them. Make sure you tell them that it all ties down to the company’s overall goals, and how they perform will determine how the company performs.
